Last updated: October 2026. This policy describes how the site is built today. Please have it reviewed for the jurisdictions you operate in before launch.
The short version
We collect as little as we can. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell personal data, and reading Nightholics does not require an account.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. When you use a contact or partner form, we store your name, email and message so we can reply. We do not store your IP address with it.
- Outbound click counts. When you follow a “Book” or “Official website” button, we add one to a daily counter for that listing. No cookie, IP address or identifier is stored.
- Abuse protection. To stop spam and abuse of search and forms, we keep a short-lived, one-way hash of your IP address for up to one hour. It cannot be turned back into your address.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs for security and operations.
Third parties
- Maps. Venue maps load from OpenStreetMap only when you press “Show map”. At that point OpenStreetMap receives your IP address, as with any website you visit.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email goes directly to our newsletter provider, under their privacy terms. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- Booking and ticket links. When you leave Nightholics to book, the partner’s own privacy policy applies.
How long we keep things
Form messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless an ongoing conversation needs them longer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
