Our take

Restored and reopened in 2016, the Royal Opera House won a UNESCO Asia-Pacific heritage conservation award in 2017, and the building is reason enough to book. Its programme leans towards musicals and family theatre: The Wizard of Oz plays on 24 and 25 October 2026. It is a short walk from Chowpatty for food before or after.
